IRISE  is a web-based Project Management and Tracking Platform developed for the Aditya Birla Group – AMDR Division to digitalize and streamline their project execution workflow. The platform enables users to create, manage, and monitor projects from initiation to completion, ensuring seamless collaboration among team members, sponsors, and project owners.

Originally launched as the EMIL Project Management System, the platform was later rebranded to IRISE, symbolizing Aditya Birla’s digital transformation journey in mining operations and project management excellence.

Objectives

  • Replace traditional manual tracking with an integrated digital system
  • Provide real-time visibility into project progress, milestones, and team activities
  • Improve accountability, transparency, and interdepartmental communication
  • Automate documentation, email notifications, and reporting

Dashboard & Analytics

  • Real-time dashboard with visual metrics for:
    • Total uploaded projects
    • Milestones
    • On-time vs. delayed milestones
  • Graphical reports with filters for performance insights

 Project Creation & Management

  • Create and categorize projects as Improvement Projects or Large Projects
  • Assign project team members, sponsors, and milestone owners
  • Define project descriptions, timelines, and completion reviews
  • Set recurring milestones with flexible schedules (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, etc.)

Document Management

  • Upload multiple file formats (PDF, Word, Excel, PPT, JPEG, PNG)
  • Maximum upload size: 10 MB per file
  • Multi-document submission with version control

Workflow Automation

  • Draft and submit options for project lifecycle
  • Automatic email notifications on submissions and updates
  • Integrated approval flow for sponsors and reviewers

Search, Filter & Reporting

  • Advanced search and filtering for status, milestones, and timelines
  • Export project data and reports in PDF format
  • Visual milestone summaries and completion insights

 Editing & Tracking

  • Edit projects anytime in Draft or Submitted status
  • Update milestone progress with recurring schedules
  • Cancel or delete projects with activity logs and mail notifications

Access Control & Security

  • Secure login through Windows ID authentication
  • Role-based access controls (creator, member, sponsor)
  • Safe logout and secure session management

Our Role

Our team was responsible for:

  • System analysis, design, and architecture
  • UI/UX design for a clean, accessible interface
  • Backend development with secure authentication and automation
  • Integration with Aditya Birla’s internal email and reporting systems
  • Preparation of complete user documentation and training
  • Ongoing technical support and enhancements post-deployment
